We had this wonderful tour with Ankit Das Loiwal' in late March to Chopta, a team of 'Wild Kumaon'. 'Ankit' the tour leader made us experience wonderful sightings, well behaviour, comfortable and deep birding. we will always go with 'Ankit Das' from now on, really appreciate his field work and the gentle approach towards birds. We made really good photographs of higher altitude rare birds. Thankyou 'Wild Kumaon' and 'Ankit Das Loiwal' for this amazing tour. Looking forward for my next visit to Sattal and Uttarakhand.

Learned naturalist 6. Good bird sighting within the premises I really enjoyed my stay there...before staying here I stayed at some other property in Sattal. I am glad I shifted here. We have recently been to Wild Kumaon, Sattal. It was an awesome experience... Location, ambiance, space, cleanliness are more than what I had expected. Simply great site on best location. Highly recommended to friends interested in birding. Special mention of Mr. Gopal alongwith Madan bhai for taking good care with delicious kumaoni food. A very soft spoken and knowledgeable naturalist Ankit das. Looking forward to visit again.

Awesome experience... We have recently been to Wild Kumaon, Sattal. The place is fantastic, a nature lover's paradise. One can hear the chirping of the birds from morning till evening. We had the most hospitable hosts, very friendly, caring, and served very delicious food (special thanks for Kumaonis food). One can have the feeling of a family in this beautiful place. My husband and I spent a delightful day birding with Neer (Wild Kumaon Sattal). He took immense pains to ensure we saw the maximum number of birds in various places around Sattal. It was thrilling seeing the Himalayan Barbet, Blue throated barbet, different varieties of laughing thrush, slaty headed parakeet, Spotted forktail, Little forktail, white capped Redstart etc etc etc. Hugely thrilling. Thank you Neer. The property at Wild Kumaon Sattal is also very comfortable and a home away from home with tasty and healthy meals. I definitely recommend this place for nature lovers

Amazing amazing place to stay at when in Sattal. I felt like home, happy and very safe. The hospitality, the tasty food, the room service, the staff, and the team of naturalists everything here is just superb. The best part, specially for birders is you just have to open the windows to see/click birds. Lots of birds I got to see from the corridor 🙂 Must check this place out when planning for Sattal. We have recently been to Wild Kumaon, Sattal. The place is absolutely fantastic, a nature lover's paradise. It is built aside a scenic landscape, surrounded by wild forest. One can hear the chirping of the birds till evening. We had the most hospitable hosts, very friendly, caring and served very delicious, home made food. One can have the feeling of a family in this beautiful place. Highly recommended this stay.

This is the best place for anyone in Sattal. The location is outstanding, their food, hospitality , rooms all are just perfect. I stayed there 3days with my team for Birding. they have their own hide & you can book other hides too through them. they will arrange everything perfectly. the most important thing is that their field work is exceptionally great. if you visit this place for Birding Do search for Neer ji, a very disciplined & punctual guy I must say. another great aspect is they are associated with the great Dinesh Negi Ji , the best bird guide in Chopta Valley. so if you plan to visit Chopta too then you are in good hands. I stayed 5days in Chopta with Dinesh Ji & 3days in Sattal & took outstanding images of at least 90 species of birds. I promise I will visit every year.

Simply an amazing place to stay in Sattal! Absolutely clean and hygienic. The food cooked by Madan bhaiyya is absolutely delicious! They cooked a special local meal for us after we just asked what are the local food options in Sattal. The hospitality is so good that you are at ease and comfortable instantly. The birding scene right from the balcony is insane. They do have a hide within the premises as well. Additionally you can get a birding guide (personal recommendation would be Mikma Tamang) to visit far off places like Pangoot, Manila, Chanfi, Chopta. All in all, if you are visiting Sattal, definitely checkout Wild Kumaon. Neer bhaiya who owns the place is a great host!
